Care
How to keep a Stone Island badge in good condition
Good care protects the embroidery, keeps the felt flat, and stops the buttons from scuffing. The routine is simple: clean gently, store flat, and remove the badge when it is not needed.

Daily handling
Badges wear out fastest when they are constantly rubbed, bent, or stored loose in a pocket. The easiest win is to remove the badge when you wash, steam, or store a garment for long periods.
- Handle the badge with dry hands.
- Do not bend the felt panel when attaching or removing it.
- Store the badge flat rather than folded inside a pocket.
Cleaning without damaging the felt
Most replacement badges do not need heavy cleaning. Use a soft brush or cloth first, then spot clean only if there is visible dirt.
If you do need water, use a tiny amount of mild soap and cool water, then let the badge air dry flat.
- Do not machine wash the badge on its own.
- Do not iron the badge or press it with direct heat.
- Avoid aggressive stain removers and strong detergents.
Variant-specific care
Special variants need slightly more caution. Ghost badges can show wear faster on the tonal finish, while thermal styles can lose their effect if they are exposed to repeated heat or rough handling.
- Thermal badges should stay away from prolonged high heat.
- Ghost badges benefit from gentler cleaning and less abrasion.
- Mesh and glow variants should be stored separately from heavier hardware.
